Mindfulness
Mindfulness is a moment-by-moment awareness of one’s thoughts, moods, sensations and environment. In mindfulness, we acknowledge thoughts and feelings that arise without passing judgment on whether they are “good” or “bad”. By placing attention in the present moment, we lessen the stress that comes with anxiously dwelling on the past or anticipating the future, and grow to accept the feelings and circumstances which are beyond our control. Meditation, breathing, and yoga exercises are excellent ways to practice mindfulness.
